Pumpkin is a 2-3 year old Orange and White Tabby cat who needs a new home. Pumpkin weighs 14 pounds. This cat is located in Apex, NC 27523.

This cat was clearly feral when he first came to me. I have been working with him every day to socialize him to become adoptable. I trapped him, had him neutered and given a rabies shot, and ear-cropped. Over time, he has become extremely friendly not only with me, but with my kids. He now lets me pick him up, and he tries to get into the house ALL the time! He is ready for a permanent loving home and family. The ideal situation would be someone who is familiar with shy cats, and a home where he can have access to the outdoors. He would make a great barn cat, but also craves love and attention from humans.
Pumpkin is good with Cats: Yes, Dogs: Unknown, Kids: Yes

Are you the owner: I have been caring for this cat for about 6 months. He lives in my yard.
Reason for surrender: This cat was clearly feral when he first came to me. I have been working with him every day to socialize him to become adoptable. He now lets me pick him up, and he tries to get into the house ALL the time!
I feel he's ready for a permanent home, and as I have 4 cats already, I cannot keep him (husband's rules). He needs to be fostered where he has access to the outdoors, as that is all he has known. Your facility is the only place I know of that will do that. He has the potential to be a wonderful family pet!!
How did you acquire: He showed up in my neighborhood about 6-7 months ago, and I started feeding him.
How long owned: 6-7 months
