Happy Tails: Hercules

A wonderful report from Hercules' new mom:

We adopted "Hercules" a couple of months back. Hercules is called "Hambone" now, and he's clearly well received by our 15-year-old cat, Sinister.

There hasn't even been an hour that goes by where Hambone doesn't make us laugh, and he's been an amazing addition to our family. Sinister, who lost his brother of 14 years this past February, no longer cries at night and has a new joyful bounce in his step as Hambone tires him out with playing and chasing games.

I can't thank you and all the Goathouse volunteers enough for making this possible. We've spread the word far and wide of how impressed we are with Hambone and the Goathouse Refuge.

We intend on coming to visit soon and returning the crate you loaned us.

Happy Tails: Hercules

We love Happy Tails! This one is from Hercules' New Family:

We are so excited to deliver excellent news to you, not only is "Hercules", now named Hambone, doing fabulous, but he's already getting along with our cat, Sinister!!! It's like it was meant to be all along! We are so pleased, and Hambone is so calm and happy, fun and playful all at the same time it seems.

He's so well-adjusted and we have you all to thank for that. All your hard work and all those volunteers' hard work at the Goathouse pays off!

He clearly loves laying right on us and taking naps in the sun! Sinister made it into one of these too, you'll see they were playing with a catnip toy in our room. We'll send more soon!!

Cat of the Week: Hercules

Update: Hercules has been adopted. Yay!

Hercules is a friendly and laid-back fellow who is about two years old. This handsome orange tabby was found alone and outdoors in the bitter cold; he was rescued and brought to the refuge where everyone was quickly charmed by his lovable and easy-going personality. He loves people and being petted; he also enjoys snoozing on the futon with the other cats. Hercules has been at the refuge for over a year now and would love to find his forever home soon!
