Cat of the Week: Tikko

Meet Tikko! This guy is affectionate and loving, and oh so very handsome. We can't help but think that if Tikko's fur was a different color, he would have been adopted by now. Black cats are often overlooked by people interested in adopting - these folks are missing out on some awesome cats who have so much personality and heart like Tikko does.   All we are saying is give black cats a chance!

Tikko came to the Goathouse in February 2012 from a no-kill shelter in South Carolina where he lived indoors-only with many other cats. His hobbies include making new people friends, playing, napping, and getting petted.  He will be a wonderful easy-going member of your family! Come meet Tikko soon. DOB Winter 2010.

Happy Tails: Orion

We love Happy Tails! Here are some photos and a note from the family who adopted orange kitten, Orion:

"We named him Harry, and he is a real joy. He is adapting well, and our older cat Joe is not even too distressed."

Cat of the Week: Dawn

Dawn is a dainty little pixie kitty, very pretty with tabby stripes and beautiful calico colors. She's a friendly teenage girl who loves to play with toys and with people. And then when it's time to relax, she makes biscuits on her blanket - she's adorable! This sweet young girl will be a perfect house cat and best friend for some lucky person. Just look into those big green eyes and fall in love!  Come meet Dawn soon. DOB Summer 2011.

Cat of the Week: Freddie

Freddie is a sweet, gentle, and extremely cute boy. Just look at that face - you can't help but smile. He is nice to all the other kitties and affectionate with people. He loves to be petted and has some of the softest, silkiest fur you've ever touched. Although he's humble, it's easy to see he has his own special star quality! Freddie came to the Goathouse from a no-kill shelter in South Carolina where he lived indoors-only with many other cats. He's spent his life being one small cat lost in a big crowd; he would love to be someone's special best friend and house cat! Freddie will be a wonderful addition to any family. Please consider opening your heart and home to this wonderful guy. DOB 2005.

Cat of the Week: Molly

Molly is a sweet and snuggly brown tabby girl who is used to being a house cat. She's very affectionate and easy to love. And what a beauty!  Molly has some of the most gorgeous fur you've ever seen - tabby stripes with the colors of autumn leaves. Very unique! We don't know why Molly's owner surrendered her to a public shelter, but we're glad we could rescue her. This highly adoptable kitty is ready to be your best friend and loving companion. Please give Molly a second chance at a forever home. Approx DOB 2008

Cat of the Week: Kiernan

Kiernan is a handsome and gentle tabby cat with incredible green eyes. He came to the Goathouse in February 2012 from a no-kill shelter in South Carolina where he lived indoors-only with many other cats. He was so scared when he first arrived, but we soon learned that he's a sweet boy who just wants to love and be loved. This all-around great kitty gets along with other cats and loves attention from people. When you pet Kiernan, he gets this grateful blissed-out look on his face that will tug at your heart strings.  Please consider opening your home and your heart to a cat who has been homeless for much too long. DOB 4/2006
