Cat of the Week: Dixie

Meet Dixie, a lovable girl with a white chest and mittens, and thick calico fur the color of autumn leaves. She's such a sweet kitty with a shy, gentle personality. She's not the kind of cat who comes running up and jumps in your lap, but when you approach her, she's happy to see you, and grateful for the petting and attention. Dixie has been at the refuge since 2008, patiently waiting for her person to come. She will make someone a great little friend - maybe that someone could be you?

Hi Sweet Dixie....from someone who loves you in Texas! I know you're happy there. I'm praying someone will take you home to be their forever kitty. Your cousins here say hi. Judy

Hi Judy, Dixie was one of the kitties you rescued, wasn't she? Such a sweet girl.

Not sure if you heard, but Bevva was adopted a few weeks ago!

Take care, Anne (GH volunteer)

Yes, Dixie was one of mine. Makes my heart happy to see her. So glad about Bevva, yippee. Is Sarge still around? And is Sweet Pea doing great in his new home? Sweet memories of all those kitties. And all of you!

Yes, Sarge is still living down at Siglinda's house. Last I heard, Mr. Sweet Pea was doing great; the kids in the family really love him. They changed his name to Whiskers which is a cute name for him. :)

Judy, not sure if you heard or not, but Sarge got adopted a few weeks ago. Yay! I'm so happy for him and for his new person.
