Cat of the Week: Shelby

If you're looking for a lapcat, then gorgeous Shelby is your girl! This very affectionate cat loves nothing more than to get in a warm lap and snuggle. And wait until you hear her prize-winning purr! Shelby is friendly and out-going, and when a refuge visitor sits down, odds are that Miss Shelby will be in that lap in about two seconds flat. No empty laps when Shelby is around!

And what a beauty she is - a sleek and elegant kitty with bright eyes and glossy black fur. She's an experienced house cat whose owner could no longer take care of her, and you can tell that Shelby really knows what it’s like to love and be loved by humans. Change isn’t easy for kitties, and being around so many other cats at the refuge makes Shelby grumpy sometimes, but when people are around, she turns on the charm. Shelby really wants to be someone's special little house cat again so she can provide unconditional love and cuddles to a person of her very own.
