Update: Marcel has been adopted! (October 2010)
How in the world did a beautiful and loving cat like Marcel end up on the kill list of a public shelter? It boggles the mind to think about it. Marcel was rescued on the very day he was scheduled to be euthanized, and both the Refuge and the world are better places because this awesome cat is alive and well.
He was named for mime Marcel Marceau because of the dark eye markings. The name suits his personality too because our Marcel is an entertainer – in fact, he’s a bit of a ham who talks to you and rolls around to make sure you notice him. Marcel is affectionate and friendly, gets along with everyone (people and other cats alike), and is everything anyone could want in a furry best friend. Lucky person who ends up taking this cat home.
