Cat of the Week: Annie

Annie is an adorable little fluffball kitten who is growing up to be a real beauty. She's a bit of a scaredy cat at first, and would do best with someone who can spend time bonding with her and be patient while she comes of her shell. Once Annie feels comfortable with you, she's a real sweetie who purrs when you pet her and loves to play with dangling toys and other kittens.  Her brother Patrick and sister Fiona have both been adopted; now it's Annie's turn! Please consider adopting one or more of our teenage kittens - teenagers are just as playful and fun as tiny kittens but are a little bit more calm and well-behaved. We know that Annie will blossom in the right home with the right loving person!   Approx DOB Fall 2011.

Cat of the Week: Lil Bit

Lil Bit has a broken heart. Until recently, she had a home with a person she loved very much, but then her owner had to go into assisted living and couldn't take Lil Bit with her. Lil Bit is bewildered and sad; she's homesick and really misses her person. She's a sweet and gentle cat who has always lived an indoor-only life where she enjoyed playing with her toys and sleeping in the bed with her owner.  Lil Bit gets along with other cats and with dogs but would be okay being an only-cat too. Lil Bit just wants a second chance at having a loving forever home! DOB 2008.

Cat of the Week: Parsley

Parsley is an out-going and affectionate young guy who is very interested in being friends with people! A handsome boy with fantastic tabby-and-white markings, Parsley came to the Goathouse from a now-closed cat shelter in South Carolina where he lived an indoor-only life with many other cats. He gets along with everyone, people and other cats alike, and has got an eager-to-please look that will steal your heart.  Parsley would love to have a home and family of his very own where he can get (and give) lots of love and cuddles. Come meet him soon! DOB Feb. 2009.

Cat of the Week: Baron

Baron is a mellow and friendly fellow who would love to join your family. One of our Flickr friends said that Baron is "the George Clooney of cats" which is a perfect description of this handsome guy! But Baron has more than movie star good looks, he's got a charming and lovable personality too. Baron came to the Goathouse from a now-closed no-kill shelter in South Carolina, so he's used to living indoors-only with many other cats. We don't know his background, but he has grey velvet fur and  amazing green eyes characteristic of a Russian Blue.  He's a beautiful cat in all ways. Come meet Baron soon! DOB Sept. 2007.

Cat of the Week: Goose

Meet Goose! She's an outgoing girl who is very friendly and playful. Goose is mostly white with black spots like a cow, and she has fluffy fur that is silky and beautiful. She's curious and affectionate, and will roll around on the floor at your feet asking for attention. An experienced house cat whose owner could no longer take care of her, Goose is more than ready to be someone's special kitty companion again. Goose is declawed on all four paws, so she will need a strictly-indoor home. Come meet this beauty soon! Approx DOB 2005.

Cat of the Week: Lucky

Lucky came to the refuge in February 2012 along with six other experienced house cats whose owner lost her home and could no longer keep her pets. He's a handsome young tabby-and-white fellow with fantastic markings and a gentle personality. Change isn't easy for kitties; Lucky was sad and scared at first but he's doing his best to fit in at the refuge and make new human friends. He would be so happy to get a second chance at having a forever home, and it would be even better if he were adopted with one of his best friends/ family members (Fred, Bimbo, Ziggy, or Hank). Come meet this sweet boy soon. DOB 2010.

Cat of the Week: Nikko

Nikko is a bright-eyed and shiny black kitty with a white locket on his chest. He can be a little bit timid when you first meet him, but it doesn't take much time or effort to make friends with the little guy (he loves to play with dangling toys!). Nikko came to the Goathouse from a now-closed no-kill shelter in South Carolina, and he's used to living indoors-only with lots of other cats. He would really love to have a family and forever home of his very own where he can get lots of affection and playtime and be someone's special cat rather than just another black cat in the crowd.   Come meet him soon! DOB 2010.

Cat of the Week: Charlie

Beautiful Charlie is so friendly and out-going that you can't help but fall in love with her! She's a brown tabby teenage girl with fluffy fur like a Maine Coon. Charlie is very curious about her surroundings and eager to make friends with people. She loves to play with toys, and sit on people's laps and be loved. Charlie spent the first six months of her life living in an indoor-only home until her owner surrendered her because she couldn't take care of her. So Charlie is an experienced house cat who really deserves a second chance at having a forever home. Come meet this sweet baby doll soon! Approx DOB May 2011
