Cat of the Week: Mao

You're simply not going to meet a nicer cat than Mao. He's a talkative and handsome fellow who loves people and gets along great with other cats. Mao has been through some tough times; for the first six years of his life, he had a family and home along with his twin sister, Ming. But then through no fault of his own, his family was forced to surrender their pets. Mao was so sad and scared when he first came to the Goathouse a year-and-a half ago, but he's settled in now, and enjoys napping on top of a cage in the Studio building and being petted by volunteers. He's not a needy cat, but he's oh-so grateful when anyone pays attention to him. His former owner told us that Mao is great with children - he's playful yet gentle, and loves to play fetch just like a dog! His sister, Ming, has been adopted, and we really hope that someone will fall in love with Mao and give him a home of his very own too. Come meet him soon! DOB 3/2004.

Cat of the Week: Luna

If you're looking for an outgoing and loving little cat, Luna is your girl. She's a beautiful, solid white teenage kitty who will reach her kitten arms up to you, just begging to be held. She's very affectionate and will crawl into your lap and make herself right at home. Luna enjoys playing with the other Goathouse kittens and would love to go to a home where there's another cat she can romp and cuddle with. Super cute when she was a baby, Luna is getting more beautiful everyday.  Come meet this adorable and friendly girl soon! Approx DOB May 2011.

Happy Tails: Raggedy Ann and Teddy Ruxpin

We love Happy Tails! A nice report from the family who adopted this brother/sister duo:

You were absolutely right about Teddy and Raggedy Ann - they're so cuddly, loving, and playful, and I couldn't have picked a better pair! Tomorrow will mark the two week anniversary of our little family, and I'm thrilled about how the cats have settled in here.
Raggedy Ann has become very talkative and playful; she's extremely curious, and loves people watching and nibbling on unsuspecting toes. When they first came, Teddy was very timid, and it was so sweet to see how his sister took care of him. He's become a lot more open and confident, and he's eating extremely well now (he was very thin when he first came). He enjoys cuddling with stuffed animals, and when he's not too sleepy, he likes to play with his kitty toys.

Cat of the Week: Sarah

Isn't she adorable? Sarah is a roly poly little cat who loves people and has a great personality. You can definitely tell that she used to be someone's sweet little house cat before! Sarah was pulled from the county shelter where her owner had surrendered her.  This cutie pie loves to be petted, held, talked to, and carried around. She purrs up a storm when you pay attention to her. Please give this beautiful girl a second chance at having a forever home. Approx. DOB 2001

Cat of the Week: Boudacia

Boudacia is a lovely young tabby who arrived at the refuge in September 2011 with 4 tiny kittens (Queenie, Midas, Sawyer, and PeeWee). She was such a good mama cat, but her babies are growing up and getting adopted now, and Boudacia would love to have a home of her own where she can be doted on. She's a loving and friendly girl who will be a wonderful addition to your family. Come meet her soon! Approx. DOB Fall 2010

Cat of the Week: Aunt Pearl

Aunt Pearl is a lovely young girl, a mostly white calico with beautiful markings and sweet eyes. She’s an affectionate kitty who loves to make biscuits while you pet her; it’s fun to see her do the classic "pushy paws" kitty dance.  Aunt Pearl gets along with other cats,  loves people and attention, and also enjoys playing with toys.  She'd love to come curl up in your home and provide unconditional kitty love. Come meet Aunt Pearl soon! DOB 2010

Cat of the Week: Big Tom

Big Tom arrived at the refuge in January 2011. The poor guy was in bad shape; he was hungry and skinny, and had an infected eye and an injured nose. He's healthy now and not as shy as he was at first. He's finally feeling comfortable enough to make friends and let us see what a charming and lovable fellow he really is! Big Tom is laid-back and undemanding; he enjoys relaxing on a warm blanket in the studio building and cuddling with his best friend, Commander. These two handsome fellows would make a wonderful pair of easy-going house cats.

Cat of the Week: Emma

Emma is one of the sweetest and most cuddly kitties you'll ever meet. All she wants is to love and be loved (and a comfy cat bed is nice too!). An adorable tabby with an orange stripe on her head and a cute white splodge on her nose, Emma has a prize-winning purr which you'll hear when you pet her. She's an experienced house cat whose family moved away and couldn't take their pets with them, so Emma has been through a lot of sad changes in the past year. Please give this gentle and beautiful girl a second chance at having a forever home. DOB 2009.
